SONGDO, SOUTH KOREA — January 11, 2009 — Executives from The Thalas Group, a recognized leader in international business and cultural development, finalized its third formal visit to Songdo, South Korea. Having met with leaders and representatives from Gale International, Posco, Incheon Tourism Organization, Incheon Metropolitan City, International Free Economic Zone (IFEZ), and several South Korean businesses, Thalas signed the documents to launch THALAS·SONGDO, a company dedicated to developing business and culture.
The visiting Thalas team has been working with several local and international businesses to formulate new structures of international business development. Partnering with Seattle, Washington's US-Japanese Enlinx Partners, San Francisco, California's US-Chinese Cultural Horizons Institute, and Los Angeles, California's US-Korean Bridging Culture Worldwide, THALAS·SONGDO has launched its first office in Songdo, South Korea.
Located in the International Business District (IBD) of Incheon, the Songdo operation is developing five new businesses in the areas of finance, consulting, technologies, collaborative spaces, and education, while supporting several existing businesses. Additional resources and investments from Thalas Capital Group (TCAP) and Thalas Consulting Group (TCG) have been allocated for THALAS·SONGDO's success. A few dignitaries will be brought into Songdo as a result, and a beta international online community dedicated to solving global challenges, dubbed "Our Songdo" was launched. The "Our Songdo" community also includes Songdo IBD's official blog.
Among other major projects, THALAS·SONGDO has been charged to lead the site surveying on behalf of ECO·ART DAY & EXPO. A tour and visit to several Asian cities has begun as a part of this survey.
