Sean's breakthroughs in the health industry earned him Top Entrepreneur recognition from BusinessWeek and his work now drives companies in several industries. He teaches and leads through his strengths in high level performance, focus and vision actualization. 2009.03.24 - Thalas officially opens its Los Angeles Thalas Leadership Collaboration Center (LA TLCC). Five collaborative businesses and Thalas Ontogenies have begun utilizing the space for growth and development for over 12 socially conscious projects. 2009.03.16 - Development of the long discussed Thalas Capital Group (TCAP) begins with the formational steps behind a catalytic "Fund no. 1," TCAP's first fund for micro-funding socially conscious startups. The efforts are supported by veterans of the industry, Thalas Consulting Group, and the leadership of Thalas Founder and CEO, Joe Chung. 2009.03.11 - Thalas explores potential opening of Los Angeles Thalas Leadership Collaboration Center later this month. The space boasts three floors of collaborative use. 2009.03.03 - Thalas facilitates first board meeting for Funk'n Waffles Corp based out of Syracuse, NY and dedicates principle owners to attend a 5-day executive team and company building retreat in the Caribbean. The retreat yacht leaves US shores off the coast of Florida on March 8, 2009 to return on March 12, 2009. The goal is to reform the original vision of the founders in a streamlined business development model focused on socially conscious organizational growth, to produce venues across the US which provide healthy food and music alternatives. 2009.02.26 - Thalas co-launches "Social Vaccine" with Johns Hopkins University researchers. Led by Director Powell, the Social Vaccine mission "is to develop true social benefit by discovering and mapping out the social landscape and preventing the causes of poor-quality social interactions by creating and utilizing innovative social paradigms, programs, and activities." It is being advised by faculty from both Johns Hopkins and UC Santa Barbara. 2009.02.18 - Internal Revenue Service (IRS) officially grants the O Campaign Foundation 501(c)(3) public charity status, enabling all Facebook and Games that Give donations to be received directly by the O Campaign Foundation for Cancer Prevention. On a long term basis, Thalas commits to utilize funds and resources valued at over $8M with the O Campaign Foundation for such support. 2009.02.18 - "Become the Cure (BTC)" is officially adopted as the new name for the project which was originally initiated as "Fashion the Cure (FTC)" Thalas Ontogenies. 2009.02.16 - Thalas opens iThalas, Thalas Consulting Group, Adventure Lead, Thalas Leadership Collaboration Center, and Thalas Entertainment Group branches in Minneapolis, MN. The drive, led by Thalas Consulting Group is designed to bring in further support for each ontogeny from the Minneapolis area, known for its cleanliness, friendly communities, business acumen, and its appreciation for the arts. 2009.02.15 - Thalas golf technology Ontogeny, eSwing receives another round of funding from angel investors. This is in preparation for eSwing's product launch and golf tournament road show ensuing in March 2009. 2009.02.15 - Thalas Consulting CEO announces a new name for the Ontogeny. "The official name for Thalas Consulting will now be known as 'Thalas Consulting Group.' We are ecstatic about this change as it emphasizes our growth into different industries and several specialized forms of consulting. As we become a larger organization with different sub-groups, we will have opportunities to create spinoffs which we will help manage." 2009.02.03 - Thalas invests resources and acquires ownership stake in eSwing, a golf technology company. Thalas also joins its advisory board. 2009.02.03 - Thalas and O Campaign push out pre-launch press release for Fashion the Cure 2009; fashioning a full circle cure for the world. An especially important event given the current times, FTC involves several celebrities, scientists, authors, leaders, models, artists, groups, organizations, companies, and universities. FTC is designed to help the world heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually while catalyzing them to action in becoming "heroes" of their own lives. The name Thalas Consulting's new CEO and his plans will be made public on or before March 1st, 2009. 2008.12.27 - Thalas opens San Francisco office as beta Leadership Collaboration Center (LCC) and names Elizabeth L. Kim as managing director of the San Francisco branch. 2008.12.24 - Thalas receives its first bag of Doritos featuring The O Campaign Foundation. Doritos and www.DoSomething.org teamed up to feature this Thalas Ontogeny on millions of bags circulated around the world. Be sure to pick one up at your local convenience store! 2008.12.22 - Thalas CEO Joe Chung sets out the foundations for "Proclamation of Our Generation," a proclamation that serves as the stance that our living generation will overcome and lead the current global shift toward exponentially increasing knowledge and cooperation, adopting Google's philosophy of "launch then iterate." 2008.12.22 - In cooperation with the True North Leadership Community and Brayden Olson, Thalas will open six Leadership Collaboration Centers (LCC's) designed to support developing leaders. The six pilot cities are: Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Boston, Toronto, and Oxford. 2008.12.18 - Thalas Entertainment Group (TEG) is invited to the Atlantis Cove in the Bahamas by five of the world's top poker players. Plans are underway to fund and develop a reality TV series on the upcoming summer World Series Poker Tournament in Las Vegas.
