Thalas (pronounced tal-is) was first conceived in 1998 and founded in 2004. Our name is derived from the idyllic acronym: To Happiness And Love And Success. Quite fortuitously, Thalas can also be derived from "thalassa," Greek for "sea."
We invest resources in individuals and organizations who exhibit talent, character, a desire to make the world a better place, and a zest for life.
By doing this, we are able to invent and execute infinite possibilities.

Khalil Gibran wrote in The Prophet that passion and reason are like a sail and rudder. Without a sail there would be no movement and without the rudder, movement would be in chaos. Hence, our logo, the Thalas Sailboat.
